Wrong! 46 people voted oppose on the RfC to close Qualitipedia. All 46 of those people want Qualitipedia to stay open. There may even be other users who didn't vote on the proposal who want QP to stay open.

There are more people who want these wikis gone than there are who want these wikis to stay.

You don't know that. Only 127 users voted on the proposal. Qualitipedia has thousands of users.

"Thousands" is a rather exaggerated overstatement. At the very most, there'd be around 300-350 frequent visitors/editors.

Still, that is a lot of editors who didn't vote on the proposal.

And that doesn't include inactive users, who will be in for a rude awakening when they find out the wikis close. There will be massive backlash, I am predicting it now. The steward's noticeboard and community noticeboard will be flooded with users begging the wikis to be reopened.

Most inactive users retired due to the issues of Qualitipedia.

Update: It isn't really a revival, FatBurn just said he wants to move all pages to The New Reception Wiki.

We most likely won't be moving much pages aside from ones from non-Qualitipedia reception wikis. Most of them will be recreated from scratch.

I will have to respectfully decline. ALL pages will be imported to the new wiki.

The reason why I would like to start from scratch is (a if we're going to import all pages, we might as well keep Qualitipedia open, which is what is being avoided and (b the pages are one of the many reasons why Qualitipedia is hated, so starting them from scratch can prevent bias.

Reception wikis are NEVER a good idea. For one, reception is subjective, nor does it dictate the QUALITY of media.

We are not trying to say that the things said on pages are objective facts. We are documenting and explaining all parts of reception.

I do so! Author or not, he gave those pages to Qualitipedia, pages are not "owned" by anyone. I refuse to not save or import any pages.

It's a simple, basic request. Rewrite the ones he did if you care enough. If he is the only one who wrote the page, then grant basic courtesy to them and let it get deleted, then make a new page about whatever media it was.

But wouldn't it just be easier to import the pages. Whether or not he wants them gone, it is a piece of history and we cannot just erase it.

For something as minor as this, yes you can. Not every single thing has to be archived. If the sole author doesn't want something as minor as a handful of pages, just delete it and start a new one.

Also, archiving will not help. Even with archives, a website, when closed, is still technically gone. Archives do not keep websites alive, they just are a useful way to prove things. You cannot edit things through the Wayback Machine.

I revived it because I wanted to revive and continue working on the pages on the old wiki. I'm aware TigerBlazer already did that with the Chill Place but they privatised the wiki, though luckily it's still possible that they can get moved due to the questionable way the wiki was privatised.

I'm not sure about blocks, but they certainly deserve a warning.

The CoC policy should be warning enough, if not, then War Incarnate will probably get a 1 or 2-week block for intimidating behavior/harassment.

I'll admit I went a bit too far. I won't try and come up with an excuse to defend my conduct here, other than I really did not approve of Bluba's conduct and something in me kinda snapped.

While I think some people on the "support" side have made comments just as bad if not worse than what I've said so far I won't try to use that to justify my actions.

Even though I still dislike Bluba, I will cease with my current style of hostile comments towards Bluba. I might still criticize him occasionally but I'll try to make sure my comments don't come off as too hostile.

I'm already preparing templates and categories for pages about games, transferring all pages from CGW and AGW is only a matter of time.

Yes it is!!! All pages must be archived. Everything on the wiki must be archived.

Given who is trying to take charge, I think it is. I doubt they'll bother to do it correctly and they really will try to shove multiple wiki dumps together. I'd love to see the technical mishaps that come of it.

Tbh the best thing bureaucrats can do is simply not offer dumps, and allow these things to fade away peacefully. Such was my conclusion about releasing the website wiki dumps. People will dump them somewhere else and the bullshit will continue. I only regret not then hitting the delete checkmark before I resigned from Steward.

In your wiki request, be very descriptive of what you're going to cover. I generally always decline wiki requests with less than a sentence or two in their wiki request. Also pick a descriptive subdomain, not something generic like "movies" or "tv" as that'll 100% be declined. Before making a wiki request, make sure to read the Code of Conduct and Content Policy which both tell you want Miraheze expects from you as a wiki admin and what can happen if you don't follow the rules.

I wish there was a way for wikis to be locked so that the wikis never get deleted. Regardless of the community, the wikis are still useful as an encyclopedia for determining the quality of media.

A dump of each wiki will be saved automatically by Miraheze if the wikis drop off the service and were not made private, regardless of Bukkit's involvement.

I was going to make an article for Fantastic Toys Wiki but for some reason that wiki closed. Asking it here is my only option despite that the toy reception wikis are no longer part of Qualitipedia.

I'm not too concerned about the closure of the toy wikis, but the Roblox game wikis I would agree should be revived. There is still Perfect Roblox Games Wiki though.

Hi, I'm UnboundBeartic. I created an account to make good-faith edits for instance, I want to build up the Dragon Quest games on the awesome games wiki. I want to add the Twilight sequels to the awful movies wiki. Plus I want to add Dragon Quest Your Story to the awful movies wiki. Please unlock me. Judging by rate at which my edits are being reviewed I doubt I will ever be accepted by the current bureaucracy. So can the admins 100% unlock me from the Anti-Van program. I promise I'm not a troll.

Hi Quadpedia. The Discord server has been rebranded, and that's cool (even though it will take me a long time to get used to). Everything is going fine. A few hours ago, someone asked why we can't give the wikis to the creators of Bad Webcomics Wiki. His reasons are

1. The work there is pretty professional and rather than writing pointers, the write like blogs or websites like IGN and GameSpot or even the earliest revisions of Plumbers Don't Wear Ties (as pointed out by Theresnoname).
2. Bias close to non-existent. Sure, some pages will mention stuff like SJW but they keep that minimum because the main focus is criticizing the product and not being politically biased (like QP with SJWs).

Hi, I'm UnboundBeartic. I've been a viewer of Qualitipedia for a long time. Today I decided to make an account and join Miraheze.org and Qualitipedia. However this is my very fist and only account on Miraheze. I'm hoping that I'll become a legitimate unlocked user in the near future. I hear that Qualitipedia has a strict Anti-Van program that requires users to wait before editing. How exactly does this work. Could you help me since your an Admin? If your unlocked on Qualitipedia are you unlocked on all of it's wikis or do you have to get them unlocked separately?

I'm not an admin, but I think you'll be unlocked automatically when moderators approve 10 of your edits on a Qualitipedia wiki. It only applies to that wiki, however.

Bukkit removed moderation.

Note that moderation is only disabled for this wiki. It still applies for the other wikis in Qualitipedia (I think).

How often do the admins approve edits that are pending approval.

I would presume as much as they can, but that may not be a lot.
