- 04:14, 28 February 2022 Money12123 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (About the music wikis, music is actually the topic I am interested in the most out of all of the categories of reception wikis. I just wish that the original music wikis weren't so outdated, colourless and messy. If they were affiliated with Qualitipedia they'd be much better.)
- 09:08, 27 February 2022 SuperStreetKombat talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (There's a reason why Crappy Games Wiki gets the most attention: it's because it was the first Reception Wiki ever made like I mentioned in that other blog, and the quality and management have significantly improved throughout the years, and communication with other users is extremely accessible. Same thing can be said for the Movies Wikis and the TV Shows Wikis, which, along with the Games Wikis, are the primary parts of Qualitipedia. The other reason why other Reception Wikis like the Books...)
- 06:24, 27 February 2022 Yonydesk talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (besides the absence of the mandatory tone present on the older iteration of this blog (which i apreciate), my stance regarding this hasn't changed. https://qualitipedia.miraheze.org/wiki/Blog:Please_stop_with_this#comment-978)
- 02:24, 27 February 2022 Zangler talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (This sounds like you think any contributor is capable of editing any page, which they do, but you should take into account that not all of us have consumed the same products—or have sufficient knowledge of certain referents—to be able to edit said pages as someone who did. Forcing improvements like these is equal to misinformation, regardless of its intention. I hope I didn't misinterpret your statement, but what you portray as "biased" isn't and will never be synonym to "poorly written", gi...)
- 02:16, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (Then we should bring in more users to contribute. The amount of attention the wiki gets affects the wiki's quality.)
- 02:14, 27 February 2022 Raidarr talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (You've stated this before and the answer is the same as last time. People contribute to the places they care for. People cannot be forced nor obliged to contribute where they don't care for and I don't intend to impose either way. I welcome volunteers willing to help improve them, or make the concepts more appealing. It's the best that can be done. I welcome you to demonstrate otherwise.)
- 02:08, 27 February 2022 Marxo Grouch talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (The first thing is pretty much what I do with unfinished pages nowadays (unless the author is no longer present), and the second thing I stated my thought on above.)

- 02:02, 27 February 2022 TigerBlazer talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (You realize moving to a sandbox is pretty much an alternate way to improving a page right? It gives the page more time to "cook" so to speak. And some pages really do need to be removed for being biased, usually because they don't belong there in the first place, which is pretty much always why a page gets deleted for in that aspect rather than coming to how many pointers there are.)
- 01:58, 27 February 2022 TigerBlazer talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding wiki attention inequality (You're not going to be able to change how much attention a wiki gets, it's a matter of the userbase's tastes, you can't force other wikis to be given more attention than others and it can't really be fixed, it's just what people naturally come to.)
- 01:00, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (But that adds confusion to the problem. At Long Last Leave is a hated episode of The Simpsons, yet it got deleted for being "too biased" which I assume was due to not having any good qualities, which could have easily been fixed via editing. In fact, I may create a poll on the wiki asking what users thought of the episode. So it seems like "biased" is being given two different meanings in this context.)
- 00:57, 27 February 2022 Raidarr talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Permanently banning unconfirmed users from making pages (Autoconfirmed does not appear in CentralAuth I'm afraid; it is a different group from confirmed entirely (confirmed being a manual process). The confusion is that 'confirmation' can be done automatically or manually, and the groups are supposed to do basically the same thing with a user's access (indicate a level of basic trust, confirmed by a little constructive background). Usually 'confirmed' should be temporary to achieve the rights of 'autoconfirmed' without disruption in access.)
- 00:52, 27 February 2022 Raidarr talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (What I would agree with here is the subjectivity of what 'poorly written' and 'biased' do to a page. Where we set the bar and how; it is often unclear. Where I set the bar is if a page is incomplete, out of scope, or entirely written as a personal rant with a lack of sourcable/sustainable points, at which point it is not something that someone else should be responsible for since it is completing/rewriting what was someone else's task in the first place. They can, and are strongly encouraged...)
- 00:36, 27 February 2022 Money12123 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (@Marxo Grouch: Not all biased pages are about media that is not as bad/good as the page says it is. There is no guarantee that a biased page is an opinionated page.)
- 00:34, 27 February 2022 Money12123 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Permanently banning unconfirmed users from making pages (@John 127: I know I'm one month late, but: #To see if they've been given the confirmed user right early, you can look at their user rights log. You can also look at their CentralAuth and Special:ListUsers/confirmed. #To see if they're autoconfirmed, you can check the date they joined (which could be the day their account was created or the day of their first edit, I'm not sure) and how many edits they've made. 4 days and 10 edits = autoconfirmed. It may also appear on...)
- 00:27, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:TigerBlazer's Critique of the Current State of Qualitipedia (I will also make another one discussing my ideas for improvements.)
- 00:26, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (In addition, what is "poorly written" or "biased" varies.)
- 00:25, 27 February 2022 Marxo Grouch talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Regarding "poorly written" or "biased" pages (Regarding "biased pages", you seem to be overlooking the fact that some pages just don't belong on the wikis they're posted on. Just editing such pages to be less biased doesn't disguise the fact that the media written about is too well/poorly-received to belong on the wiki it was published on.)
- 00:24, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:TigerBlazer's Critique of the Current State of Qualitipedia (I made a blog post regarding some of the things I addressed which I would recommend checking out, as it discusses poorly written pages.)
- 00:22, 27 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (Indeed. It seems to be a simple sentiment change though. I would make an RfC but I couldn't quite think of how to word it.)
- 00:14, 27 February 2022 Money12123 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (@Blubabluba9990: It's better than the page being deleted at least. However, you do have a point, so cleanup could be a better idea. Even then, if users are unsure if their pages will be good quality when they are first created, it's still better to start in your sandbox.)

- 00:09, 27 February 2022 Money12123 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (@Blubabluba9990: Not necessarily; we can still have discussions on talk pages, if someone nominates a page for deletion for being poorly written or biased, you can try and improve it, you could request administrators to stop deleting pages for this reason and make it a rule that admins can't do that and will receive warnings or even demotions for violating that rule, etc.)
- 23:31, 26 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (So this means now that admins will continue to delete pages due to being poorly written or biased.)
- 23:29, 26 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (What is it with users and "move it to the sandbox"? Seriously, it feels lazy to move something to the sandbox rather than actually trying to improve the page.)

- 18:07, 26 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (I'm trying okay!)
- 17:59, 26 February 2022 TigerBlazer talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (We do not want complete control over the site, you're overreacting. The community is a large part to QP's decisions (Which is why RFCs exist at all), and many community requests have been approved and passed before. Frankly your requests never get approved because they are either pointless or a dumb idea in the first place, and what you put to the table is doing nothing for the community at all.)
- 17:46, 26 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (All of these requests seem to boil down to one thing: The admins seem to want complete control over all aspects of the site, which is one of the many reasons Qualitipedia is criticized. We should follow Wikipedia's approach because Wikipedia's system works. To my knowledge, Wikipedia has never been on the verge of community collapse, and that is because discussion is based on their userbase and is not in the control of a group of admins)
- 17:41, 26 February 2022 Blubabluba9990 talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (Exactly. Deleting pages or moving them to a sandbox for being poorly written/biased is not building, it is lazy.)

- 10:07, 26 February 2022 Raidarr talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (No, they shouldn't have to review every single page, which is exactly what I mean - at least, not in explicit detail. All users contribute as they wish. When they do contribute it should be in a way that builds, or at least meets the minimums that are in place.)
- 10:03, 26 February 2022 Raidarr talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (Talk pages are separate. I have thoughts for how to use a somewhat different system that will centralize requests of this nature, but they won't be happening in the immediate future.)

- 06:02, 26 February 2022 Yonydesk talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:A concern about the political views of these wikis (the reception wikis was my first insight on the gamergate movement and SJW ideologies so i'll give my own interpretation of them: both are good causes taken to the extreme. > while gamergate seeked to end with the corruption in game journalism sparked by zoe's depression quest, it's undeniable the amount of bigotry and misoginy that accompanied it, which had made most people paint it as a "movement to harass women" and could explain wikipedia painting it as that too. > SJWs seek for socia...)
- 04:33, 26 February 2022 MJ2003 talk contribs posted a new comment on Blog:Please stop with this (I think about a better name for a newly merged wiki about video games and game culture "Gaming Wiki".)

- 23:20, 25 February 2022 Yonydesk talk contribs posted a new comment on Requests for Comment/Creating requests for deletion and restoration (as a lurker, why should i be obligued to contribute to the site? i post my thoughts and comment just by volunteer, not because it's imposed.)
